  10. supplements VERITAS CD Recording Plug-In on-line help.  If information in help file conflicts

  18. To view README.TXT on your screen in Notepad, maximize the
  19. Notepad window.

  21. To print README.TXT, open it in Notepad, WordPad, or another word
  22. processor. Then select the entire document and format the text in
  23. 10-point Courier font before printing.

  38.    1.  Reading Audio Discs
  39. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  40. If you create an Audio CD using a CD-RW disc, you will only be able to
  41. play this disc on Multi-Read capable CD players.  For best results, it
  42. is recommended that Audio CDs be created using CD-R media.

  44. For DVD players, please consult your DVD Owner's Manual in order to
  45. determine which type of media will provide the best results.

  48.    2.  Delay After Cancel
  49. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  50. A delay of a few seconds to several minutes may result after canceling
  51. an operation. The length of delay will depend upon the drive model,
  52. type of media used, and the point at which the operation was cancelled.

  55.    3.  Conflicts with Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4
  56. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  57. If you are using VERITAS CD Recording Plug-In on a system containing Windows 2000 and Adaptec
  58. Easy CD Creator 4, you may experience a conflict.  You will not encounter this
  59. problem if your version of Adaptec software is v4.02 or greater.

  62.    4.  Enable DMA to Reduce Buffer Underruns
  63. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  64. If you experience buffer underruns, try enabling DMA (Direct Memory
  65. Access) on your computer.  See your computer's documentation for
  66. instructions on how to do this.

  69.    5.  Media Compatibility
  70. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  71. Some consumer disc players cannot read CD-R or CD-RW media.

  73. If you are experiencing problems reading certain types of media,
  74. please check your player's documentation to ensure that your
  75. device is capable of reading the media.

  78.    6.  Recording to Blank CD-R or CD-RW
  79. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  80. CD Recording Plug-In will not record to CD-R or CD-RW media that already
  81. contain data. CD-RW media will not be automatically erased before recording
  82. an audio CD. You must create audio CDs using blank CD-R or CD-RW media.
